Workflow: Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, SketchUp, AutoCad, Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D Printer, Laser Printer.

 

At BNIM architects, I was part of a team of 6 designers working on a art museum in Iowa. The art museum was commissioned by a liberal arts college to collate and curate their extensive collection which was spread over multiple buildings. It was the university’s intent to formalize their collection in a space with permanent and rotating galleries in addition to learning classrooms. I was part of the conceptual and spatial design and in charge on developing details relating to solar shading, vertical circulation, wall assembly, modelling and visualization both digital, and structural/ mechanical co-ordination.

 

At BNIM I initiated integrating digital tools for analysis and design development, as part of the design workflow. Part of the process was taking the work done in Rhino/ Grasshopper, creating scripts with plug-ins from Ladybug and using it to analyze complex geometry such as the metal panel system with angled louvers for a university building in Iowa. The script now developed, could be applied to other systems to analyze them for a host of design related conditions. Work samples can be provided if requested from the contact page
